Description
LawnStarter is hiring a Lead Security Engineer to take security from an informal practice to an instrumented, scalable function across its PHP/Laravel and TypeScript/React marketplace, AWS infrastructure, payments, customer and pro data, and AI-agent code. The role owns application security, cloud and infrastructure security, compliance and data protection, detection and response, automated scanning, incident response, and the standards and hiring bar for a future security team. It is a hands-on, security-of-one position with an explicit path to leading a small team within roughly 12–18 months, offering a base salary of $80,000–$100,000 USD annually and fully remote work with a US-distributed engineering team.
