Lanco is hiring a Lead Software Development Engineer in Hazel Crest, Illinois, to lead full-stack software development for real-time embedded control systems used in heavy machinery. The role covers requirements gathering, software architecture, motion control and industrial automation software, system integration, testing, commissioning, release governance, and mentorship of software engineers. It requires an accredited engineering degree, at least 10 years of product development experience, and expertise in motion control, embedded firmware, C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, and industrial communication protocols. The position is primarily office-based with up to 25% domestic travel and no visa sponsorship.
