Description
The Very Group is hiring a Lead Software Engineer for an initial six-month Inside IR35 contract based at its Speke headquarters two days per week. The role provides technical leadership across software or data engineering squads, including mentoring engineers, guiding technology selection and roadmaps, designing and coding production-ready software, and ensuring secure, reliable, scalable, performant, and maintainable systems in a lean Agile and DevSecOps environment. The position is a technical leadership role rather than a people-management role and requires experience with complex architectures, ideally across multi-cloud environments, multiple programming languages and frameworks, and strong collaboration and communication skills.
