Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Lead Software Engineer-AI in Atlanta, Georgia, to lead the development, deployment, and operation of AI-powered computer vision applications supporting manufacturing operations across more than 100 facilities. The role provides technical leadership and architectural guidance for cloud and edge-based AI solutions in Kubernetes/EKS environments, partners with data scientists and product teams, develops production-ready code, mentors engineers, and improves system reliability, performance, and scalability. Candidates need at least six years of software engineering experience, distributed-systems expertise, machine learning or computer vision experience, and proficiency with Python, SQL, Docker, Bash, Kubernetes, AWS, data streaming, infrastructure-as-code, and system design.
