AeroVironment is hiring a Lead Software Engineer for its Learning and Active Perception (LEAP) group in the MacCready Works division. The role leads computer vision and perception algorithm development, C++ implementation, embedded build systems, testing, documentation, and mentoring of junior engineers for unmanned aerial and maritime systems. It requires a bachelor’s degree, 8–12 years of relevant software engineering experience, U.S. citizenship, government-contract and DoD security-clearance eligibility, and willingness to travel up to 40% within the continental United States. The salary range is $128,000–$195,250, with medical, dental, vision, 401K matching, and other benefits.
