Description

JPMorganChase is hiring a Senior Lead Software Engineer for its Chief Technology Office - Engineering Services & Platforms team. The role designs, develops, tests, and maintains software tools for over 50,000 developers, including production code, APIs, performance issues, architecture, documentation, code reviews, and community leadership. The engineer will also mentor junior engineers and lead communities of practice, with requirements including formal software engineering training or certification, at least five years of applied experience, advanced programming proficiency, automation and continuous delivery expertise, RESTful API experience, enterprise desktop software knowledge, and experience with AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts
Required Previous Experiences: At least 5 years of applied software engineering experience
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience with RESTful API design and development
Experience with desktop software packaging and distribution technologies
Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools
Experience coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption of AI tools in delivery practices
Preferred Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems
Experience with cloud-based and containerization technologies
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
