Description

Ontario Health is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in the Greater Toronto Region to lead the design, development, testing, release, maintenance, and support of business applications. The role provides technical leadership and mentoring, collaborates with product, business analysis, QA, DevOps, and development teams, contributes to architecture and roadmaps, develops solutions using C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, Azure, and single-page application frameworks, and applies software security, privacy, Agile, and SDLC practices. The position is permanent and full time, with an external application deadline of August 23, 2026, and requires applicants to be Ontario residents.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
Required Previous Experiences: 7–10 years of solution development experience, including technical design, development, application analysis, work breakdown and estimation, and complex dependency management.
Extensive experience supporting critical business applications in production.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior technical leadership or people-management experience.
Continuous integration, continuous deployment, or DevOps experience.
Knowledge of Ontario health privacy legislation, including the Protection of Personal Health Information Act.
System administration and networking knowledge, including Windows Server, Linux, IP, and firewalls.
Knowledge of Ontario Health systems and business environment.
