WPP Open Intelligence is hiring a Lead Software Engineer in Copenhagen to lead an engineering squad and own the architecture, delivery, reliability, and integration of backend activation and orchestration services. The role focuses on REST/HTTP APIs, partner gateways, durable workflows, authentication, rate limiting, CI/CD, observability, and production systems at scale, with hands-on contributions to critical paths and technical debt. Candidates need at least six years of software engineering experience, including two years leading engineers or owning a significant technical area, along with backend, cloud, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code experience. The position follows a hybrid model with teams in the office around four days per week.
