8th Light is hiring a Lead Engineer in Waterloo, London, England, on a hybrid basis with one office day per week. The role leads complex software development and consulting engagements, including architecture and software design, AI/ML systems, client technical leadership, project roadmaps, risk management, and team mentoring. Candidates should have at least seven years of experience, broad software development expertise, and experience with production-quality code, testing, CI/CD, and AI/ML features. Preferred areas include platform engineering, data engineering, agentic systems, DevSecOps, MLOps, and infrastructure as code. The London pay range is £76,023–£95,029 GBP.
