Level AI is hiring a Lead Software Engineer to raise the engineering bar across its applications, platform, and infrastructure. The role focuses on developing scalable, low-latency distributed systems, designing technical roadmaps, improving engineering practices, maintaining critical services, collaborating with product and other stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers. Candidates need a relevant engineering degree, at least six years of backend and infrastructure experience, strong distributed-systems and database experience, and hands-on experience with technologies such as Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, Django, Flask, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, Kubernetes, and Docker.
