Description
IRIS is hiring a Lead Spatial Data & Geospatial Engine Architect to design, implement, and scale a nationwide geodata engine using PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Python, ETL, scraping, spatial SQL, and document-mining technologies. The role covers automated data ingestion, multi-layer spatial overlays, AI-based report parsing, and automated cartographic and data reports. It is available full-time, part-time, or as an agile project, with nationwide Germany or remote work, and requires a relevant degree or comparable geospatial experience, strong PostGIS and Python skills, knowledge of German geodata standards, and fluent German.
