Markel is hiring a Lead Strategy Associate/Strategy Associate for its Richmond-based Strategy team. Reporting to the Director of Strategy and working with the Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer, the role partners with senior business leaders to develop enterprise strategy, conduct market and competitive research, support product and growth initiatives, prepare executive presentations, assist with corporate development and acquisition reviews, and drive cross-functional strategic projects. The position requires at least two years of management consulting or similar in-house experience, strong structured problem-solving and communication skills, financial modeling and Excel proficiency, and a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. It is a hybrid role requiring U.S. work authorization, with a base salary range of $92,880 to $127,710 per year and 15% bonus potential.
