Description

Baker Hughes is seeking a Lead System and Instrumentation Design Engineer to design and upgrade auxiliary systems for turbomachinery within plant environments. The role involves integrating new designs with existing configurations to improve efficiency and extend machine life. Responsibilities include overseeing system definition, process integration, and ensuring adherence to business standards and customer contracts. The engineer will also manage budgets, lead technical activities, and interact with various internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: Experience in an Oil & Gas or energy-related engineering environment.
Knowledge of fluid systems and familiarity with computational simulation tools (e.g., Hysys, FlowMaster, Matlab/Simulink or similar).
Preferred Qualifications: Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English (Italian is an advantage).
Ability to work effectively across functions and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Adaptability, openness to learning, and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with Six Sigma, Green Belt certification, or Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
