Description

The employer is seeking a hands-on Lead Systems Engineer / Architect to own the end-to-end architecture of the SpatialCore platform, including data ingestion, AI/ML fusion, real-time bi-directional data serving, edge deployment, APIs, SDKs, and scalable distributed systems. The role leads architecture documentation, design reviews, technical standards, CI/CD and DevSecOps, and engineering mentorship while supporting defense compliance, commercial scalability, and cross-functional product and government-bid activities. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, 12+ years of systems engineering, software architecture, or platform engineering experience, and 5+ years in technical leadership.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline
Required Previous Experiences: 12+ years of systems engineering, software architecture, or platform engineering experience delivering production systems at scale
5+ years of technical leadership experience leading architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and owning system-level design across multi-component platforms
Experience architecting distributed systems across edge, cloud, and hybrid deployment topologies
Experience integrating heterogeneous data sources and protocols into unified platforms
Experience with real-time or near-real-time systems, low-latency processing, streaming architectures, or embedded/IoT integration
Public sector delivery experience with DoD, federal civilian agencies, or defense primes and defense compliance frameworks
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Software Architecture, or a related field
Experience with Rust and Go
Background in AI/ML system integration, sensor fusion, or multi-modal AI architectures
Experience with TAK ecosystem integration or tactical edge computing platforms
Familiarity with consumption-based pricing architectures
Experience architecting multi-tenant SaaS platforms with per-customer isolation
Active or recent security clearance, or ability to obtain one
Relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional, CKA, TOGAF, or INCOSE CSEP
