General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Lead or Principal Systems Engineer in St Leonards-on-Sea to lead the development and delivery of next-generation mission computing systems for military aircraft. The role covers the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design reviews, verification, qualification, certification, risk management, change control, and cross-functional coordination across software, hardware, and safety domains. Candidates should have relevant engineering education, extensive systems engineering experience, leadership skills, DOORS and Excel proficiency, MBSE knowledge, and familiarity with avionics engineering; AI/ML experience is preferred. The position offers a salary of £59,200 to £80,000 plus benefits and a hybrid or fully office-based working arrangement.
