Bright Silicon Technologies is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer in Pleasanton, California to lead the optomechanical design and architecture of a Free-Space Optical (FSO) terminal. The role translates functional requirements into Pointing, Acquisition, and Tracking (PAT) hardware, develops interface control documents, leads multidisciplinary engineering teams, manages project schedules and technical trade-offs, and oversees verification and integration testing for airborne optical payloads. Candidates need a bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant engineering or physics field, hands-on experience with optical systems, hardware interfaces, system modeling, and physical testing, and U.S. person status because the work involves CUI and ITAR-sensitive information.
