Roku is hiring a Lead Systems Software Architect to lead complex software implementations for Roku TVs and streaming devices. The role owns multimedia system design, video/audio pipelines, SoC and chipset enablement, drivers, secure boot, DRM, performance optimization, diagnostics, and AI-enabled platform hooks. It requires a BS/MS in a relevant engineering field and 15+ years of embedded systems software experience, with strong embedded Linux or Android, C/C++ or Rust, and systems-level expertise. The position reports to the Vice President of Software Engineering, collaborates with ODM and chipset partners, and offers a California salary of $350,000–$637,500 annually plus health insurance and other benefits.
