Description
The Lead Teacher directs a classroom of YMCA youth, creates and promotes positive classroom relationships, plans and supervises age-appropriate programs, observes and evaluates children, maintains records, communicates with families, and supports classroom organization and safety. The role requires prior experience working with children in a developmental, diverse setting, an Early Childhood Education Certificate within five years of hire, and completion of specified health, safety, and background checks. The position is based at Whitman Elementary, pays $18.35 per hour, and offers medical and dental insurance and other benefits.
