Hangar 13 is hiring a permanent Lead Shader / Material Artist to lead shader and material quality, pipeline, R&D, and performance optimization in Unreal Engine 5. The role involves creating reusable materials, developing complex character, environment, FX, and cinematic assets, optimizing for memory and runtime performance, and mentoring internal artists while collaborating with external partners. Candidates need at least seven years of games-industry experience, including two shipped AAA titles, along with expert UE5 material and rendering expertise. The position requires onsite work at one of the studios at least three days per week.
