Description
The Acting Laboratory Manager serves as a resource and mentor to technologists and department management, establishes priorities, assigns work, directs proficiency and competency programs, resolves service issues, coordinates with clients and supervisors, supports employee performance reviews, manages laboratory supplies and work areas, liaises with internal departments, ensures compliance and training, assists with personnel scheduling and conflict resolution, and interfaces with auditors. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant laboratory science or medical technology field, applicable state licensure where required, Technologist II-level experience, knowledge of laboratory methods and regulated testing, and strong communication and analytical skills. Compensation is $29.00-$38.00 per hour, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) match, and paid vacation and holidays.
