Description
Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is hiring a Lead Test Engineering Technician for its Grand Rapids facility. The role leads the design, build, modification, troubleshooting, repair, and support of electro-mechanical actuation test systems; develops and executes mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and environmental tests; maintains laboratory equipment and documentation; and provides technical leadership and contractor coordination. The position requires travel of approximately 10% of the role, including 1–2 day trips and up to a full week at a time at least twice per year. Applicants need an associate degree in an engineering-related field and at least five years of technical experience, with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, soldering, electronics troubleshooting, and laboratory instrumentation experience preferred. The expected annual salary is $56,000–$83,000, and the role requires U.S. person status under ITAR.
