Description
The Welding Supervisor is responsible for planning, assigning, supervising, and reviewing welding work; interpreting drawings and weld requirements; setting up fixtures and welding parameters; inspecting fit-up and welding; maintaining safety and housekeeping; managing employee productivity and labor codes; and ensuring required training and certifications. The role requires successful completion of an internal FCAW 3G welding test, at least five years of flux-core welding experience, drawing-reading ability, knowledge of electrode filler materials, welding equipment maintenance, and finish grinding. The position involves heavy physical work, exposure to hazardous materials and fumes, and a flexible schedule including weekends.
