Description
The Newcastle Academy SEND team is hiring an Apprentice Learning Support Practitioner to work with pupils and students with special educational needs, English as an additional language, and diverse learning needs. The role involves supporting classroom learning, behaviour, hygiene, individual development plans, lesson planning, assessment, resources, and pupil welfare under the supervision of teaching staff. It is a 37-hour-per-week apprenticeship lasting 16 months, with a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification through the SEN Pathway, and pays £8.00 per hour, rising to the National Minimum Wage after 12 months for those over 19.
