Canal Insurance Company is hiring a Liability Claims Adjuster to analyze and adjust minor to moderate commercial claims. The role includes verifying coverage, investigating and negotiating claims, working with defense attorneys, communicating with insured parties and other claim stakeholders, monitoring field adjusters and attorneys, and establishing reserves. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree and either three years of adjuster experience or five years of claims handling experience, an adjuster’s license, familiarity with insurance and tort law, intermediate computer skills, and the ability to perform occasional travel and work outside standard business hours or on weekends.
