Briar Cliff University is hiring a University Librarian and Assistant Dean to lead the Bishop Mueller Library and serve as its chief administrative officer. The role provides strategic library leadership, develops a strategic library plan, advocates for library services, leads data-informed and student-focused academic library programming, teaches research literacy courses and sessions, and collaborates with faculty and the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning on artificial intelligence in student studies. The position is a 12-month exempt administrative role reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, requires a Master of Library and Information Science degree from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent, and seeks 3–5 years of academic library experience with leadership responsibilities.
