Description
The Library Substitute provides customer service and performs library functions when regular specialists are unavailable, including assisting patrons with computers and materials, processing holds, preparing children’s programs, and monitoring the children’s department. The role offers flexible on-call scheduling that may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends, and requires at least two years of relevant college-level coursework or an associate degree, one to three years of related experience, a Class C driver’s license, and knowledge of library systems and basic office procedures.
