Description
The Physical Therapy Assistant provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, treating patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include implementing patient care plans, documenting responses and changes, communicating patient status, preparing treatment areas and supplies, educating patients and families, supporting Rehab Techs and students, and participating in department meetings and case conferences. The role requires an associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, a New Mexico Physical Therapy Assistant license, AHA BLS within 90 days of hire, and the ability to pass an aquatic competency test if aquatic therapy is part of the work. One year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience is preferred.
