Description
The Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant evaluates and treats patients under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapist. Duties include assisting with treatment planning, administering therapeutic modalities and exercises, fitting orthotic devices, educating patients, monitoring and documenting progress, scheduling appointments, completing charge tickets, maintaining equipment and records, reporting incidents, following HIPAA, OSHA, CPR, and clinic policies, and providing customer service. The role requires an Associate Degree in Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant and an Illinois PTA license; CPR certification under American Heart Association guidelines is required within 30 days of hire.
