The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct nursing care to patients, ensuring their needs are met in line with established practices, physician directives, and organizational protocols. Key responsibilities include infection control adherence, participation in quality improvement initiatives, utilization of the Quality Life Manual for patient program management, communication of patient change notifications across departments, and conducting patient/family education sessions. The LPN must demonstrate proficiency in medication administration, treatment execution, and accurate transcription and implementation of physician orders.
