Description
The LPN - Emergency Department - PRN provides direct patient care in a 30-bed emergency care unit under registered nurse supervision, including emergency response, order transcription, chart checks, patient assessment, IV therapy, medication administration, documentation, splinting, dressings, EKGs, phlebotomy, and admission and discharge support. The role requires an accredited practical or vocational nursing education, Pennsylvania Practical Nurse licensure, CPR certification, and completion of an EKG class within six months of hire; emergency department or urgent care experience is preferred. The schedule is PRN with a minimum of 24 hours off per six-week schedule, 12-hour day, evening, or night shifts, and weekend and holiday work as needed.
