Description
Ottumwa Regional Health Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Float Pool on a PRN schedule with 12-hour shifts. The LPN provides nursing care to acutely ill patients under the supervision of nursing leadership and an RN, including patient assessment support, care-plan interventions, specimen collection, wound care, possible medication administration, documentation, activities of daily living assistance, patient-status monitoring, communication, advocacy, and participation in performance improvement and continuing education. An Iowa or Compact State LPN license and Basic Life Support certification are required; one year of medical/surgical nursing experience is preferred.
