Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides resident care under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse in a senior living setting. Responsibilities include monitoring residents’ physical, emotional, social, and cognitive functioning; coordinating medical care and medication administration; maintaining records; supervising resident care assistants; conducting training and quality-assurance activities; and responding to emergencies. The role requires current New York state Practical Nurse licensure, at least one year of clinical experience, effective communication skills, and Adult CPR certification. The schedule is 4–5 shifts per week totaling 30–37.5 hours, with an average shift of approximately 7.5 hours from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and pay of $29.00–$35.20 per hour plus shift differentials.
