Description
The Licensed Veterinary Technician assists with medical and surgical care of animals in an open-admission animal shelter, including hospitalized-patient treatment plans, diagnostics, blood and swab sampling, medication administration, surgery support, anesthesia monitoring, necropsy, and medical documentation. The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology or a recognized foreign equivalent, New York State licensure, and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods. It is based in the medical department at a specific ACC location, with occasional flexibility to work at other locations, and offers medical, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, paid time off, and on-the-job training.
