Description
ACC is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide medical and surgical care for animals in its animal shelter. The role includes administering medications and vaccines, performing examinations and diagnostics, collecting samples, assisting with surgery and anesthesia, documenting treatments, and supporting animal intake, housing, and euthanasia. Applicants must hold or become eligible for New York State veterinary technology licensure, have a relevant degree or foreign equivalent, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods. The position is based at a medical department in Queens or Manhattan, with possible rotation to other locations, and includes training, medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
