The Maryland Department of Human Services is hiring a full-time Licensing Specialist, Social Service Administrator III to monitor and supervise child placement and residential child care agencies. The role conducts on-site and unannounced inspections, reviews compliance records, assesses program quality and safety, develops corrective action plans, investigates complaints, and prepares assessment reports. Applicants need a master's degree in social work, seven years of professional social work experience including four years in an administrative, supervisory, or consultative capacity, Maryland social work licensure, and two years of experience monitoring agency compliance or enforcing COMAR regulations are preferred. The position is based in Baltimore and is telework eligible, with a salary of $76,608 to $99,105 per year and growth potential up to $120,814 per year.
