Description
The YMCA of Greater Rochester is hiring a Lifeguard to work under the Aquatics Director and maintain the safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance of the pool and facility. Responsibilities include enforcing pool rules, monitoring members, maintaining records, learning emergency procedures, attending staff meetings, securing a substitute when needed, and maintaining required certifications. The role requires lifeguarding or Red Cross lifeguarding certification, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Oxygen Administration, and Basic First Aid, along with the ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift up to 15 pounds, and spend long periods in the pool. The position pays $18.25 per hour, with an additional $2.00 per hour for certain shifts.
