The Lifeguard at Helena Family YMCA maintains active surveillance of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas; responds to emergencies and safety challenges; follows YMCA safety policies; maintains records; checks for hazardous conditions; and performs equipment and chemical testing. The organization will provide Red Cross Lifeguard certification upon hiring if needed, and the position pays $16–$18 per hour.
