Description
The Lake Superior YMCA is hiring a part-time Lifeguard to maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. The role involves constant surveillance, emergency response, safety and equipment checks, recordkeeping, training attendance, and maintaining required certifications. The position requires a minimum age of 16, CPR/AED and YMCA or Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid certifications, successful completion of the Duluth Y’s Lifeguard Assessment, and the ability to pass a background check; swim-class instruction is preferred. The role operates in and around the pool and may require standing, walking, reaching, and strenuous physical activity.
