Description
The Lifeguard works under the Aquatics Director to maintain pool, deck, and surrounding-area safety; supervise recreational swimming and swim lessons; respond to accidents and emergencies; maintain water chemistry; support customer service and member retention; and complete required training and certifications. The role requires YMCA or Red Cross lifeguard certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, CPRO and oxygen-administration certification, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 16 years of age.
