Description

Rio Tinto is hiring a full-time Line Installer for its North Electric Power Transmission Lines in Alma, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec. Reporting to the Lines Supervisor, the role works a four-day, 10-hour schedule and involves maintaining, modifying, and repairing electric power transmission lines and the electricity distribution network, reading single-line diagrams, and applying health, safety, and environment principles. Candidates need a high school diploma or equivalent, a vocational diploma in electrical line installation, 3–5 years of relevant experience, a valid Class 3 driver’s license, excellent physical condition, teamwork, outdoor-work readiness, organization, rigor, and autonomy. A Class 1 driver’s license is an asset.
