Description
Eversource Energy is hiring one fully qualified Line Mechanic to install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and auxiliary equipment. The role includes working aloft on utility poles and ground or pad-mounted structures, climbing poles with Lineman’s climbers, directing other workers when assigned, and rubber-gloving high-voltage distribution systems up to 23KV. Applicants need at least one year of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, physical ability to perform the work, communication and teamwork skills, availability for overtime and emergency work, and residence within one hour of the reporting location. The position starts at $56.32 and progresses under the union contract; Eversource does not offer immigration-related sponsorship.
