Description
Unitil is hiring a fully qualified Lineworker 1st Class for Electric Operations. The role performs outdoor, moderately heavy labor in all weather across transmission and overhead distribution linework, substation construction and maintenance, energized work up to approximately 15 kV, service restoration, streetlighting maintenance, underground construction, and high-voltage line work. The position also includes project coordination, records and paperwork, safety compliance, mentoring lineworkers in training, emergency response, overtime, and standby coverage. It is based under a union agreement, requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior qualification as a Line Worker 2nd Class, a CDL, a Massachusetts 1B/2A Hoisting Engineers License, and residence within a specified geographic area.
