Sequoia Connect is recruiting a Linux Applications Coordinator for an anonymized Mexican financial-system institution that operates mission-critical transaction, behavioral, risk, and credit databases. The role administers Linux-based services and open-source applications in 7x24 operations, coordinates Linux support priorities and personnel, manages incidents, backups, hardening, patching, compliance, monitoring, clustering, load balancing, and alternate-data-center copies, while driving automation and operational improvements. Candidates need a Systems-related bachelor's degree or engineering degree, 7–8 years of Linux administration experience, 3+ years coordinating or leading Linux support, experience with Tomcat, Cloudera, Hadoop, security, communications, people management, and technical English; Linux certifications, automation, cloud fundamentals, or AI coding-assistant experience are desirable. The position is on-site subject to project needs and includes on-call and special-schedule coverage.
