Description
The Linux Infrastructure Engineer will own the Ubuntu desktop fleet for engineers, developers, and researchers, providing second-level support and managing OS, hardware, application, software, patch, account, permission, and policy issues. The role also develops Ansible-based configuration management, integrates desktop systems with LDAP/AD, SSO, VPN, and network storage, maintains desktop images and provisioning workflows, and collaborates with robotics and DevOps teams on workstation tooling and environments. Required qualifications include a degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent vocational training and practical experience, at least three years of Linux system administration experience, Shell and Python scripting, networking knowledge, Ubuntu expertise, English proficiency at B2 or above, and strong analytical and collaborative skills.
