Description
Apple is hiring a Linux Kernel Engineer to own the kernel lifecycle from CI infrastructure and automated validation through driver enablement, debugging, hardware qualification, and production releases. The role partners with platform, infrastructure, and SRE teams to improve kernel stability, observability, and performance across multiple hardware platforms and Linux distributions. Responsibilities include building CI/CD systems, triaging regressions, investigating crashes and performance issues, porting and maintaining device drivers, and shepherding kernel changes into production. The position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent skills and experience, at least five years of Linux kernel or low-level system software experience, strong C programming skills, and experience with RHEL-based Linux environments.
