GDIT is hiring a Linux Systems Engineer to support an intelligence customer in Springfield, Virginia, or St. Louis, Missouri. The role administers enterprise Linux infrastructure across on-premises and virtualized environments, with a primary focus on Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, including AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, virtual machines, storage, networking, and cluster operations. Responsibilities include automation with Ansible and scripting, Red Hat ecosystem administration, identity integration, observability, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training, at least 8 years of enterprise Linux systems experience, active Top Secret/SCI clearance, and eligibility to obtain a CI polygraph. It is an onsite role with no travel required and a stated salary range of $124,093 to $142,600.
