Description
The LNM Technician manages farmland crop and nutrient applications for Smithfield Hog Production Division, performing environmentally sustainable outdoor maintenance and stewardship work. Duties include operating tractors and mowers, applying herbicides, moving irrigation and pumping equipment, recording rainfall and inspections, handling spill recovery, winterizing equipment, transferring water or effluent, and responding to emergencies while on call. The role requires farm machinery or heavy equipment experience, a valid driver's license, English communication, physical ability to work in varied farm conditions, and flexibility for a frequently varying average 48-hour workweek including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
