Description
The Ready-Mix Concrete Driver operates a Class A or B CDL-equipped ready-mix truck to deliver concrete to construction job sites. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip DOT inspections, route planning, water-tank filling, safe maneuvering in unstable ground, adding admixtures or cement, discharging concrete, washing the truck, communicating with dispatch, and calling out daily start times. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent education and experience, a clean driving record, the ability to pass DOT drug and physical screenings, and the ability to handle cash, customers, documents, and routine reports. The schedule averages 10 hours per day over 4–6 days per week, with frequent lifting of 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.
