WFP is hiring a Localization Specialist, Consultant level II, for an 11-month assignment in Rome, Italy. The role leads and coordinates the implementation of Objective 2 of WFP’s Localization Policy, strengthening engagement with community-based organizations in food security and nutrition, and supports Objective 4 by improving local and national actors’ influence on policies and coordination. Responsibilities include adapting corporate frameworks, advising country offices, developing guidance, conducting analyses, tracking engagement, and contributing to communications and donor activities. The consultant must have an advanced university degree in a relevant field, at least five years of postgraduate professional experience in international development or humanitarian work, and demonstrated experience partnering with community-based organizations and international organizations.
