Description
The Funeral Director will manage all aspects of the funeral home, including resources, day-to-day operations, staff alignment, customer service, sales, community growth, facility and grounds maintenance, and direct hiring, firing, performance management, and disciplinary actions. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, customer service, time management, and judgment, with a four-year degree or equivalent education and experience preferred, a bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, at least five years of funeral home experience preferred, and a current Funeral Director license highly preferred. The position is primarily performed in an indoor office setting, may involve outdoor work and up to 20 percent local or overnight travel, and requires lifting up to 25 pounds.
